Thinking Like A Blogger Gets Thought About
The first edition of the new peer-reviewed Journal of New Communications Research debuted in November. Professor Barnes and I collaborated on the lead article entitled, Thinking Like A Blogger: Is Blogging An Attitude That Can Be Taught?, which examined the mental construct of blogging.
Or, in other words, is successful blogging the reflection of a certain attitude or simply a set of actions/technologies?
Since its publication, the article has received a some decent buzz throughout the blogosphere. Here is a recap.
- Robbin Steif of LunaMetrics
- Debbie Weil of BlogWrite for CEOs
- Marianne Richmond of Resonance Partnership Blog and BlogHer
- Susan Abbott of Customer eXperience Crossroads
- Andy Beal of Marketing Pilgrim
- ConsultorÃa artesana en la red (in Spanish!)
If you'd like to read the article, it can currently be purchased as part of the Journal (in paper or PDF) from Lulu. It is supposedly scheduled to be added to a wiki soon.
FYI, The next edition of the Journal of New Communications Research is expected in Spring 2007. The deadline for article submission is January 12th, 2007.
