A Great Networking Event

Yesterday morning, I (and 13 others!) attended the first OpenCoffee entrepreneurial networking event in Seattle. Orchestrated by Andy Sack of Judy's Book, it took place at Louisa's Coffee on Eastlake.

What is Web 2.0?

I've been asked about the definition of Web 2.0 several times recently. Thus, I've become hypersensitive to how other people are viewing it.

Today, I ran across a rather eloquent definition at Axel Schultze's blog for his new company, Xeequa.

"Web 2.0 is not a new release of the Internet - Web 2.0 is the culture shift from view to act, from find to share, from passive to collaborate."

Alan Leong's Entrepreneurial Dreams

Last week before the holiday, I took a short trip North and West of Seattle to Bothell to meet with Alan Leong, a pioneering professor at University of Washington Bothell. Alan is one of the driving forces behind the thriving entrepreneurial atmosphere at the university and, on top of it all, a really nice guy.
