Both Joseph Carrabis and Howard Scott decided it would be fun to tag me with current blog meme of listing 5 things about yourself (that most people don't know) and then "tagging" other bloggers to do the same.

Since I respect these guys, I'll list the 5 things but then I'm going to stop the madness. :-)

1. My last name (it's Finnish) would be traditionally spelled Mattsson.

I'm rereading Purple Cow: Transform Your Business By Being Remarkable by Seth Godin. In the well-written book, one of the core ideas is that "safe is risky" because playing it safe means you try to be like everyone else. Seth believes such uniformity kills businesses and careers.

I was recently introduced to a novel new service called Jott. Jott enables you to leave audio messages at a toll-free number from your cell phone which are then transcribed in a semi-automated fashion and delivered to your email inbox (along with the original audio for reference).
